HCI’s program provides hands-on training for real-world, practical experience. All Medical Assistant students complete a 160-hour Externship. Through their externship placements, HCI students have the opportunity to work with patients and apply the principles of practice learned in the classroom. Students are prepared to competently complete clinical tasks, while also developing their interpersonal skills, including the communication skills required to work with patients as well as others in the workplace.
HCI graduates will be prepared for the National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), and Nationally Certified EKG Technician (NCET) certification exams.
