HCI’s Electrical Technician program provides hands-on training for real-world, practical experience. At least half of the program is “hands-on,” with the student taking an active role in the wiring of residential and commercial electrical installations. HCI provides hand tools for classroom use, and all graduates will be provided with their own toolkit to keep upon graduation. Through hands-on practice, HCI students have the opportunity to apply the principles of practice learned in the classroom and competently complete tasks of the trade.

HCI graduates will be prepared to test for the State of Texas Electrical Trainee (ET) certification.

Graduates of HCI’s Electrical Technician program receive an Electrical Technician Diploma. HCI graduates will be capable of working in residential, commercial, and industrial maintenance environments, and will also be able to execute new construction electrical work.
